Description

Renia [a German company]:  "So, what kind of glue receptacle are you using?"

Me [a silly American]:  "Uhhh, the jar the glue came in."

Renia:  Silly American.  Here, use this professional glue pot made in Germany.  It will help reduce evaporation, it has a cool little circle mixing area on top of the box where you can combine Aquilim 315 and the hardener, it includes a brush, and it comes in four cool colors.  You should also make these available for your customers.  That is all."

*Lid color is selected at random:  blue, red, yellow, green

Declining effectiveness?... Maybe I'm Doing Something Wrong

This pot worked like a charm when I first ordered it. I was getting so frustrated with the built in brush and cap system on my Renia cans and decided to finally get a glue pot. For the first few months, the pot was amazing at keeping glue from coagulating and did not overflow once. However, recently the yellow piece that is supposed to cover the glue and keep it from drying out is slowly slipping off each time i try to close it. It seems it no longer fits snug enough to keep my Renia from drying out. Has anyone else experienced this?

Clever Design Keeps Glue Fresh

I was really curious about this glue pot and finally pulled the trigger along with some Aquilim 315 and the silicon glue applicator and love it. As noted in the other review, with the water-based glues you may run into issues with mold on wood handles but there's a really good work-around by using the plasti-dip for garden tools. It's cheap and if you need to, you can easily peel off to reveal the wood handle again. Or buy plastic handled glue spreaders.

Silicon glue applicator and glue pot

The combination of the glue pot and the silicon glue applicator works great for the Aqulium 315. The Japanese glue spatulas aren't even in the same ballpark.
