Products
Panels are cut from larger skins of leather such as double shoulders, full sides, full skins, etc, and due to the nature of the item, some variance throughout a skin should be expected.
Grade A panels are what we we describe as near perfect. They will have few blemishes if any, and will be for makers who prefer a more pristine final product.
Grade B panels will have some flaws in the grain. These could be scratches, fat wrinkles, some discoloration, etc. The overall piece will still be usable, but will have some character.
DLS is proud to offer Vinymo MBT Thread from Japan.
Vinymo MBT is a unique, bonded, non-lubricated thread for leather working that works very well for both hand sewing and machine sewing. We generally recommend using size #1 and #5 for handsewing and #8 for machine, but this is all personal preference. Here is a size chart for each thread and thickness

Returns
We can accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase if the item is unused and in new condition. Please note, we are unable to accept returns on leather that is custom split.

Services
Yes, custom splitting is available on the product page of all our leather and suede for an additional $3.50. To include custom splitting, check the Custom Splitting box on the product page and choose the desired weight/thickness.
Our custom splitter has a max width of 30 inches, this means bigger pieces such as double shoulders will need to be cut in half or full sides will need to be trimmed or possibly cut into smaller pieces (you will still receive all parts cut in the desired weight).
Returns are not accepted for any item custom split.
Yes! We offer custom splitting for leather bought from elsewhere.
Custom mail-in splitting is charged by time, $60 per hour ($1 a minute) with a $15 minimum. Once completed, we will invoice you for the final cost of the service plus shipping back to you.

Turnaround will depend on current order que, but expect an average turnaround time of 7-10 business days.
Yes! We can cut leather into any width you'll need! Whether it's for belts, bags, weightlifting belts, collars, leashes, whatever!
Price starts at $10.00, and will vary depending on quantity and necessary width adjustments.

This machine lets us cut out leather in the most strategic and time saving way possible.
Patterns are first digitzed and then mapped out on a laid out piece of leather. The Comelz will then handle the rest, cutting out the most accurate pieces human hands could only dream of.
Whether it is for a personal project or a large scale manufacturing need, let us save you some valuable time and energy.
Pricing is based on time, $100 per hour, and includes the time needed to digitize and adjust patterns.

Shipping
Yes, DLS ships worldwide through major carriers such as USPS, UPS, DHL, and FedEX. Shipping costs and estimated time of delivery will be calculated for you during checkout. Any additional customs/duties will be the responbility of the customer.
Orders are generally processed within 24 hours of being placed. Additional time may be required for special requests, custom splitting, cutting, etc.
Mail is not picked up over the weekend, please keep in mind any orders placed with Next Day Air will be shipped out the following business day.
