Description

Renia (German adhesive producers of Aquilim, Colle de Cologne, etc.) introduced us to these silicon glue applicators they recently started offering - and we love them!!!

These applicators are intended for use with Aqulim water-based adhesives. They're easy to clean and store.  Flexible enough to work like a brush for spreading across larger areas, but firm enough to serve as a spatula for removing excess adhesive.

The applicators can be used with Colle de Cologne and other solvent-based adhesives, but we have found that it can be difficult to control the amount of adhesive being applied when working in small areas and edges.

NOTE:  do not store these applicators in a container / glue pot that contains solvent-based adhesive.  The constant exposure to solvent will cause the handle and brush to rapidly deteriorate.

Overall length:  5.5 in.
Brush width:  1.25 in.

Good glue spreader, non-stick

I use this spreader constantly for gluing projects. Works like it should. I did have to epoxy the tip back into the handle as it fell out when I was pulling dried glue off it.

Easy to clean

Being made of silicon makes it very easy to clean, no mess with bristles. I also don't have to worry about random bristles from my brush coming off and sticking out. One thing I don't like is the silicon is a little bit too flexible.

Great for lining

This glue spreader works well for spreading glue over large areas, such as for lining interiors of projects. It saves time by allowing you to spread quickly and evenly across the surface of your project. I recommend it for sure.

Good, but not the best.

It works good, but the silicone tip is much flimsier than you think (its also not cemented in the handle very stable which adds to this). I like the rigid plastic Japanese ones more for applying or foam brushes, but this definitely lasts longer than those two options. Torn between using this for much longer of going through the plastic/foam alternatives at a much quicker pace even tho they work better
