Frankly, we hope you don't order one of these Palosanto mallets. We feel strongly that these mallets are much too nice to actually use for hitting things. If you're unable to resist the urge to order, please spend a few days meditating on an appropriate name for your mallet - it's a tool of the caliber for which you MUST grant names.
After it has arrived and you have performed the christening ceremony (search YouTube), store it away in a velvet-lined case (search Etsy) somewhere safe. Only take it out occasionally to polish the brass and to frame it in an artfully-shot Instagram photo.
If you have no choice but to hit things with it, know that it is comfortable to hold and very well balanced. The poly mallet head is replaceable in case you spend more time than you should hitting things with it.
