Notes:  It's firm tempered with a silky smooth grain side and a tight, clean flesh side.  It's stuffed with just the right amount enough fat and oil to give it a moderately dense consistency without feeling greasy or heavy.  It burnishes great, which leads to some gorgeous edges because of it being struck through (i.e., there is full dye penetration of both grain and flesh).

*It's important to note that there are some differences between the Turquoise and Barbie colors of Dakota and the more traditional colors in our lineup.  These two colors are made from a different base leather which is tanned using a synthetic, non-metallic tanning agent.  So, these two colors are not considered to be either vegetable tanned or chrome tanned.  The use of synthetic tanning agent produces a lighter colored base leather which is better for producing brighter, more vibrant colors.

GRADING:

- Grade A - Great quality, very little to no flaws beside what is mentioned above.

- Grade B - Not-so-perfect - will have more noticeable range marks or scratches, broken grain, or slight color variation over a small portion of the panel.
