Description

Vinymo MBT is a unique, bonded, non-lubricated thread for leather working that works very well for both hand sewing and machine sewing.  It's sexy-twisty and it stays that way because the strands are tightly wound and internally bonded.  The thread pulls through the leather extremely smoothly and results in a strong stitch without requiring waxing (though, a light coat of wax is recommended) prior to hand stitching.

Size 1:  Slightly thinner than machine thread size 207

Love the Vinymo

Tried out Vinymo when I saw some of the top leather people were using it. Converted from Tiger Ritza about a year ago for all of my hand stitche projects, and haven’t looked back. I had a couple bag projects were I used my Cobra 26 sewing machine. I knew I’d be doing a small bit of hand stitching with Vinymo, so I decided to try Vinymo on the machine. I used #1 in place of 207 bonded nylon. It worked great and allowed me to match the hand and machine stitching. This is great because Vinymo will be my exclusive thread, I like polyester thread a lot better than nylon, and Vinymo gives me a much larger color selection. So my work just got a little easier.

I still prefer Maine threads, but this stuff is still pretty good. A good non waxed alternative.

Brilliant

Absolutely the best thread I've used. Vibrant colors and easy to sew. Highly recommend. Only use this and Fil au Chinois these days and barely ever the linen.
