1 month after use- love it!

I have several handcrafted knives in my tool kit. Each for its own purpose. Most of the steels I use are: HSS M2, Super Blue, White, and Carbon steel. I did not have a double bevel fixed blade for cutting patterns, and since this is an M2 and made by Palosanto, I wanted to try it. It's awesome. However, to use as your primary tool, it will become hard on the hands. To fix that. I wrapped it Paracord, then tried a leather wrap to compare. Actually stuck with the Paracord knot pattern, as it's grippy! I only wrapped about 3 inches towards the bottom.
The best part- I reached out to Palosanto to confirm best practice for sharpening and he sent me a video! So awesome. He suggested I use shapton whetstones, which I already have!! 1k and 12k, and strop!

Comes sharp, great for cutting curves

I bought this knife after considering one of those "L'Indispensable" things, and I have not been disappointed. I use a leather strop with some green compound on it and this thing cuts right through multiple layers of leather. I use it to straighten edges of glue-ups, and to cut out curves, which it does with ease. No flex in the blade at all, which I like.

The best knife

This thing was razor sharp from the word go, holds its edge remarkably well, and cuts through everything I’ve tried it on like it’s barely there. My xacto knife has been semi-retired to only small detail and sharp curves duty. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s not the most comfortable to hold. But I wrapped some soft suede strapping around the handle and it’s good to go. No regrets on this purchase.
