Quest A - Crossbody Bag Challenge
1. Contest Overview
Each contestant will receive a pre-cut leather kit for a crossbody bag, including:
- Pre-cut leather pieces
- Digital pattern
- Skived edges for a professional finish
Your task is to create a functional and stylish crossbody bag using at least 51% of the materials provided while incorporating your own creativity.
2. Contest Guidelines
- You must use at least 51% of the provided leather.
- You may add embellishments, additional leathers, fabrics, or other materials.
- The bag must remain a crossbody design, but the style and features are up to you!
- The digital pattern is provided as a guideline, but modifications are allowed.
3. Contest Timeline
- Entry Fee: $70 (includes materials)
- Entry Deadline: April 13th, 11:59 PM (local time)
- Submission Deadline: May 25th, 11:59 PM (local time)
- Judging: May 26th
- Winner Announcement: May 27th
4. Judging Criteria
All submissions will be judged anonymously based on the following:
✅ Creativity & Design – How unique and innovative is the bag?
✅ Functionality – Is it practical for everyday use?
✅ Overall Aesthetic & Style – Is the design cohesive and appealing?
✅ Craftsmanship & Technique – Attention to detail and quality of construction.

6. Submission Guidelines
- Submit high-quality photos of your finished bag, including:
- Front, back, side, and interior views.
- Photos must be under 5MB each and must not be attached to anything else (e.g., no collages or watermarks).
- Include a brief description of your design and any modifications made.
- Send all submissions via email to Info@districtleathersupply.com May 25th.
7. Additional Rules
- Judging will be blind (entries will be anonymized).
- By entering, you agree to allow photos of your work to be shared for promotional purposes.
- Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification.
Quest B - DLS Leather Design Challenge
1. Contest Overview
This challenge is all about pattern creation and design innovation! Each contestant has received:
- Front & back panels from the DLS crossbody bag
- 8 sqft of matching leather (not skived)
Your goal is to create ANY leather item using both provided panels and only the included leather (excluding lining). This is your chance to experiment, innovate, and showcase your pattern-making skills!
2. Contest Guidelines
- Both provided panels must be used in the final design.
- No additional exterior leather is allowed.
- Lining materials are permitted.
- Embellishments are allowed, including hardware, stamping, stitching details, etc.
- This challenge is geared towards pattern creation, so originality and functionality are key!
3. Contest Timeline

- Entry Deadline: April 13th, 11:59 PM (local time)
- Submission Deadline: June 1st, 11:59 PM (local time)
- Judging: June 2nd
